Valentine's Day Card

This card was made from the items that I bought from the dollar spot at Target. I think it turned out pretty good for just a couple of bucks. I am trying not to spend much money this year on craft items, sometimes it seems like I spend more than I scrap. I hope to clear out the clutter in my scrap area before I spend anymore money. I know this is wishful thinking but at least I am going to try.

Blog Hop RAK!!!

What a great surprise I came home too. These are my winnings from the Scrapbook Challenges Design Team Blog Hop. This was the first blog hop that I have participated in and it was a blast. Everyone was so nice and there was plenty of opportunities to win something. My prize was from Marilyn, a Scrapbook Challenges design team member and a great lady. Marilyn's work is very inspiring so please check out her blog and give her some feedback. All the items are top quality products and coordinate very well with each other. The possibilities of creating several top-notch projects are endless. Thanks Marilyn, I can't wait to start using all these goodies.
TFL Have a beautiful day!

DADDY-ICHI

This is my DH on his scavenger hunt for his birthday present. I love doing crazy things like this to surprise my husband, it makes me feel like a kid again. His present was a collection of Zatoichi. Zatoichi is a blind swordsmen from Japan who travels by walking from town to town saving the underdog. The stories are just amazing and if you don't mind reading subtitles then I definitely recommend this collection.

Now back to the layout. I haven't added the journaling yet, I am very bad with journaling. I save it for last thinking if I get the layout done the journaling will just happen. As you can see it doesn't happen for me. This is a very simple layout with very few embellishments. I find it very hard to scrap pages of my husband because I don't want the layouts to look to feminine.

Thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a beautiful day!

Laughter

This is a layout that shows our everyday happiness. I truly believe laughter is the best medicine. I hope I can instill this in my son and that he can try to find enjoyment in everything in this world. I hope everyone has a beautiful day. TFL

My POOR Blog!

Well to say the least I've been terribly busy. I went back to college after nine long years and I forgot how stressful that can be. On top of that my DH's work laid off several people, thankfully he was able to keep his job, but his schedule has changed a bit. I think now, halfway through the semester, we have figured out our new routine. I have not been able to do much scrapin but spring break is coming soon and I will have some free time. I really need some SCRAP therapy, I miss seeing a finished LO and the magic that happens in between or as my DH says the MESS! My son has been such a trooper through all of this change, I think he has accepted it better than me.

I hope to have a few LO's done soon. Hope everyone has a beautiful week.

Paper Bag Album

I made this album a while back and just now getting around to posting it. I have to say these are great little projects, fast, easy and fun. It is good to have the feeling of accomplishment when you start something from nothing and wind up with a great finished product. This is the first paper bag album that I did myself. I got the idea from MARION. Also check out her blog, you will get a ton of great ideas. I hope everyone has a beautiful day!

I MADE IT TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!!

Well first of all this is my first post and I am very excited to start and continue this online journal. Now to the good stuff, I made it to the next round in the badgirlskit.com Design Academy. This is only the first week moving on to week two but it is the first contest that I've entered and I didn't expect to be selected to continue. If I don't get selected again that's OK, i've already exceeded my expectations. This is the LO I entered for week 1. I am working on the assignment for week 2, which is mixing patterned papers. This has been harder than I thought it would be. I will have the finished project up soon. I hope everyone has a beautiful day!
