It's Tooth Fairy Time!

Long story short, my son had to have two teeth pulled on Wednesday. This may not seem like a big deal but he is not even four years old yet. I am so proud of him, he did such an amazing job. The dentist was great and he was very patient with him. My son has not even had any discomfort and it has not slowed him down one bit. Here are just a few pictures of his new smile and what the tooth fairy left for him.

It is hard to see but his right front tooth is gone.

He is showing his treasure box that he received from the dentist.

Yes...here is his teeth.

He just had to show me exactly where the hole in his mouth was. Lol!

And this is what the tooth fairy left him, along with some money.

Weekly Gratitude-Goodbye Hugs

This week I am so thankful for the goodbye hugs that I receive from my husband and my son when I am heading out the door. Just recently my son has been asking me not to go to work and yes this breaks my heart. Now he has started to tell me these crazy stories just as I'm walking out of the door. He does this knowing I will listen as long as I can just to hear him talk, this is just the cutest thing. He often stands in between me and the front door saying "Please don't go momma." I love knowing that he loves me and loves our time together. He has also begun to say that he hasn't gave me bye bye hugs and kisses so I will give him more. I like how he has already figured out how to hang on to those last few seconds of time before a separation. Yes I know I should not be encouraging this behavior and that in the end I will be paying for it, but the moment in time for a goodbye hug is so fulfilling and will always hold a special place in my heart. After all I'm sure as he gets older there will be times where I will be lucky to get a goodbye wave, so I definitely cherish these special times.

Bubbles

Here is my take on the Sketchy Thursday sketch for this week.

These pictures are from our spring break vacation this year. We had such a blast, we were at the children's museum with my mom, I think she had more fun than my son, lol. My son was so excited about the being inside a bubble, he just could not believe the bubbles were so big. My son did not want to leave the bubble station, the poor child behind us had to wait forever for me to finally drag him out. It was such a great day, I can't wait until next time!
Thanks for watching the video and have a great day.
I hope some scrapinhappens for you today!

Weekly Gratitude-Online Crop

This week I am so thankful for having the opportunity to participate in an online crop over at Life on the {scrap}beach. With being so busy in school and working over the weekends, it was so nice to take a day to myself to set down and get some scrapin done. I was able to complete two layouts and I am so pleased with how they turned out. The first one is a an Easter layout based on a sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches. I did make a video of this but I haven't got it up on youtube yet.

The next layout was based on a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.

It felt so good just to be able to have a few minutes to scrap and relax. I hope everyone has a beautiful day.
I hope some scrapin happens for you today!

Weekly Gratitude-Holidays!

This week my weekly gratitude is for holidays. I am very thankful that I get to spend time with my family and create new traditions and memories. We had a great Easter this year. My son is not into the egg hunts yet, he is only 3, I hope this changes by next year. He does love eating the ham, I think this is his favorite part of any holiday. He is just like his daddy in that sense, now if I can get them to eat and then wash the dishes. I may be asking for a miracle. Lol!!! I hope everyone had a great Easter. Have a beautiful day.

I hope some scrapin happens for you today.

Weekly Gratitude, Spring!

I am so grateful that spring is in the air. It has been a long and rough winter this year and I am ready to get some fresh spring air. Spring creates such a wonderful feeling. It gives you a great burst of energy to get those long awaited duties done. I can’t wait to start mowing the yard again and cleaning out the flower beds. I was able to spend my spring break with my darling son and lovely mother. We had a great mini vacation; we went to the local children’s museum and aquarium. Even with the enormous crowds we were able to enjoy ourselves and the time we had to spend together. I hope everyone else had a great spring break. Here are a couple pictures from the children's museum. Have a beautiful day.
I hope some scrapin happens for you today!

Weekly Gratitude

Today I would like to start a weekly post that I have seen a few other bloggers doing of what they are grateful for. This is a great way to put everything in check and realize how great we have it. I seen this on a fellow blogger's site for some time now and have been planning on starting it but haven’t seemed to get around to it. With family, school and working full-time my blog seems to be put on the backburner. I love checking everyone’s blog. I hope to have a blog someday that other people would love to wake up to in the morning and it is on their list of blogs to check while drinking their morning coffee. I know it will take time and effort to get there but this is a future goal. If you’ve made it this far thanks for listening to me ramble, now on to the good stuff.

For this week, my weekly gratitude is time. With having such a busy schedule I am so grateful to have the time three days a week to spend with my darling son (Josh), and allow him to set in the driver’s seat of my vehicle where he can pretend to drive. As most of you know how focused three year olds can be, Josh is focused on cars. He gets so much enjoyment out of being able to play with the steering wheel, all the buttons that he can turn and push, and putting the seat belt on and taking it off. I go to school three nights a week and on those nights I meet my husband at a neutral spot to swap out our son. I joke that we are sharing custody because we have such opposite schedules and our time together is very limited. These are just a few sacrifices as a parent and spouses that we make every day to create a better life for our children. I would also like to say thank you to my husband for sticking with me through this time and remind him and myself that it will pay off in the end. I hope everyone remembers to focus on the positive, believe me I know how tuff this can be. This is why I am so grateful for time.

Valentine's Day Card

This card was made from the items that I bought from the dollar spot at Target. I think it turned out pretty good for just a couple of bucks. I am trying not to spend much money this year on craft items, sometimes it seems like I spend more than I scrap. I hope to clear out the clutter in my scrap area before I spend anymore money. I know this is wishful thinking but at least I am going to try.

Granny Deb's Lil Monkey

This is an album that I made for my mom, for a Christmas gift. I had a great time with this album, I wanted it to be about the pictures instead of the embellishments. This is the reason that I scrapbook, to let the pictures tell the story. In my mother's words I had an amazing subject to work with and I have to agree with her. Lol! My son is the greatest thing to ever happen to me. Everyday he teaches me something new about myself. Being a kid I never knew how hard my mom worked for us kids and the sacrifices that she made, she never made us feel as if she was making sacrifices. I truly understand now why my mom made the decisions that she made And I appreciate everything that she has done for our family. My mother is the strongest person that I have known and will probably ever know. I am so proud of the accomplishments that she has made in her life. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Mom! You deserve all the happiness this world can bring.
